Held on the beautiful banks of the Hawkesbury River at Wiseman’s ferry, approximately an hour and a half from Sydney.
Ultra Violet and friend Michael hit the Hawkesbury to party the weekend away for the annual ‘Playground Weekender’ festival.
The weather was hot and dry however the onsite pool with DJ set and access to the river provided enough H20 to cool down with added vibes.
The combination of art and culture were further complimented by the convoy of ‘Wicked Campers’ surrounding the area.
The atmosphere had a carnival feel with it’s adult amusements, fancy dress parade and street entertainment.
The crowds were mellow but not sedate. Everyone seemed geared up for a good time without any agro. The fancy dress show made for most memorable entertainment, this combined with the decorations and spirit of the people, made this a unique event.
Apart from the heat, the only negative feedback we heard was in relation to the large ‘Green Ants’ whose bite pack a real punch and kept the First Aid guys busy. Check out a funny video clip on you YouTube in relation to ‘Green Ant Bite’.
Transport and facilities all rated high, this boutique music festival is a real tribute to organisers.
“This is one of the best festivals I have ever been too, it was so awesome I just can’t explain how good it was!”
